Before you press play
In your work, you encounter situations that should be moving — and aren't. Not because the strategy is wrong. Not because people don't understand. But because something in the system is holding still.
This session is not a workshop. It is not a technique.
It's a guided audio session that takes you into contact with friction — not to solve it, but to understand what it actually is.
This session uses binaural beats. Headphones are required.
Find a position where you can sit without interruption. You do not need to do anything with what arises. You only need to stay.
Press play when you are ready.
Sensing
Making contact with what is actually present — not the analysis of it, but the felt reality of it.
Presencing
Staying with what is present long enough for something beneath the surface to become visible.
Emerging
Noticing what has shifted — or what is now available that wasn't before.
After the session
You may notice that something has shifted — or that nothing particular has. Both are valid. This experience is not designed to produce an outcome. It is designed to create contact.
What usually happens in organisations is that friction is managed: structured, scheduled, delegated, or reframed as a communication problem. What this session invites is something different — the possibility that friction carries information, and that staying with it, rather than resolving it, is what allows that information to surface.
Where in your organisation is there something that keeps not moving — despite effort, despite intention?
What do you do, individually, when you encounter that kind of resistance? What is the first impulse?
What would it mean to stay with it for one more moment before acting?
There is no right answer to these questions. They are not diagnostic tools. They are invitations to look again — with slightly different eyes.
This session was developed as part of The Art of Development, a workbook on leadership in motion rooted in the NPI Zeist tradition.
